Kenneth E Bluska
Kenneth E. Bluska, 70, of Port Huron, died Friday, September 5, 2025. He was born October 13, 1954 in Port Huron to the late Loren and India Bluska. He married Penny Kearns on June 11, 1977 in Port Huron.
Ken was employed in the family business, Bluska Meats and took over his parents’ legacy in the 1980’s. He expanded the business to include a wholesale component, which went on to serve not only patrons of the meat market, but restaurants, local grocery stores and other small businesses. Ken was also employed in the construction industry including working with family at Phillips Construction where he fostered and deepened lifelong friendships.
Ken was a proud family man who deeply cherished his immediate and extended family.
His pride in them was evident wherever he went, whether he was sharing an anecdote or cheering. He loved sharing his wife’s food with others and never missed a chance to talk about the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. Watching his grandkids play sports brought him great joy, and he was always ready with a meaningful life lesson to share.
Ken was a kind and caring man who genuinely looked out for others. He loved spending time with family and friends, always ready for a good conversation or a visit. Ken had a way of showing up when you needed him most-whether it was to share some company, offer support, or give you a ride home at the end of the night.
Above all, Ken had a big heart. He was always just a phone call away-dependable, thoughtful, and someone you could always count on. He genuinely wanted to see the people around him thrive and succeed, and he never hesitated to offer encouragement or celebrate others achievements, no matter how big or small.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Penny; three children, Leticia (Joseph) Scola, Kenneth L. (Alicia) Bluska, and Kyle Bluska; six grandchildren, Rocco, Avery, Breana and Nolan Scola, Rivers and Harlow Bluska; two sisters, Diana (Tom) Gillette and Lorna (Andrew) Caravaggio; his godfather, Donald May; and many nieces and nephews.
