Jerald C McCoy

Jerald C. McCoy, 89, of Port Huron, died Saturday, December 13, 2025.

He was born October 18, 1936 in Detroit to the late Charles and Elise McCoy.

Jerald married Joyce M. Cords on April 26, 1958 in Detroit. She preceded him in death on January 2, 1999 after 40 years of marriage. He married Joan F. Mieldezis on June 10, 2000 in St. Jude Parish in Detroit. She preceded him in death on March 20, 2025 after 24 years of marriage.

Jerald was employed with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 60 years before retiring, and he especially enjoyed working on construction sites. He was an avid book collector and had a lifelong interest in magic, both as a spectator and a performer. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Joan. Their wedding and honeymoon were quite the adventure!

He is survived by two sons, Keith (Diane) McCoy and Kevin (Lori) McCoy; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a niece; and a great niece.

A memorial service will be held in First United Methodist Church at a later date. Reverend Drew Hart will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Port Huron.
