Donna C Feick

Donna Clara Feick, 98, was ushered into Heaven on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Donna was born March 16, 1927 in Lambs, Michigan to the late Earl and Lulu Fitz. Her family moved to Port Huron when she was in first grade. She married the boy next door, Gaylord Feick, on September 3, 1949 in Griswold Street Baptist Church, Port Huron. He died April 4, 2019.

Donna graduated from Port Huron High School in 1945. She began working at Michigan Bell after graduation and worked there for 18 years, moving up the ranks from operator to supervisor. She entered college while raising four children and changed her career path in 1969. She worked as a teacher aide for special needs children from 1969-1991 in the Port Huron Intermediate School District, now known as RESA.

Donna and Gaylord lived in the home they built in Marysville from 1954 until 2019. Donna was saved at age 15 and began attending Griswold Street Baptist Church at that time. She was an active member for many decades. She taught Toddler Sunday School, worked in Pioneer Girls and served on many committees, including a large church remodeling project. Donna had the gift of hospitality and encouragement. She and Gaylord hosted many guest speakers, musicians and missionaries in their home. Donna was an active member of the St. Clair County Gideon Auxiliary and was a longtime member of the Marysville Women’s Club.

Donna enjoyed traveling, decorating, working in her yard, flowers, and entertaining in her home. She dearly loved her family and kept many lifelong friends. After Gaylord’s death in 2019, Donna spent her remaining years living at Mercy Village, Fort Gratiot, continuing to encourage old friends and new alike. She will be greatly missed.

Donna is survived by her three children, Wendy (Brad) Hummel of Waterville, OH, Marchel (Michael) Racklyeft of Fairfield Glade, TN and Mark (Joyce) Feick of Plymouth; a son-in-law, Michael Maynard of St. Clair; nine grandchildren, Gwen (Ryan) Weikart, Derek (Valeria) Hummel, Brooke Young, Erik Feick, Stacey (Kyle) Brunner, Hannah Maynard, Katie (Jim) Teeters, Julie (David) Rice and Jeff (Crystal) McKelvey; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 1/2 years, Gaylord; her daughter, Jill Maynard; two sisters, Deloris Balmer and Geraldine McOuat; twin brother, Don Fitz; grandson, Douglas McKelvey; and twin great granddaughters, Madelyn and Zoey McKelvey.

Burial has taken place in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.

A memorial service will be held in the spring in Griswold Street Baptist Church.
