Mary P Teichow

February 11th, 1957 to January 24th, 2026

Mary Patricia Teichow, 68, of Fargo, beloved wife and mother, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

She was born February 11, 1957, in Port Huron to the late Johannies and Joan Fraser Rynties. Mary met Lonnie Teichow while they were both working at McDonald’s, and the high school sweethearts were married on June 12, 1976 in Port Huron. They shared a devoted partnership of 49 1/2 years.

After graduating from Port Huron Central in 1975, Mary focused on raising her family. She later earned an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design from St. Clair County Community College, a pursuit that complemented her lifelong love of history and design. As the owner and operator of Teichow’s Treasures, Antiques & Collectibles in Fargo, Mary spent years traveling the country with Lonnie in pursuit of unique finds, and she loved meeting new people and making memories along the way. Her passion for the industry led her to become the founder and organizer of Michigan’s Antique Yard Sale Trail.

Mary was famous for her giving heart. She was a tireless volunteer and a quiet benefactor to many, possessing a unique knack for helping neighbors from behind the scenes. When she wasn't working or volunteering, Mary found peace in nature-whether camping, birdwatching, or spending time with her beloved springer spaniel, Teddy.

Above all, Mary’s greatest joy was her family. She was extremely proud of her two daughters and three grandsons. She was a devoted "Nana" who rarely missed a chance to cheer on her grandsons at Yale Bulldog sporting events and school activities. She was their fiercest advocate and most loyal fan. Mary is survived by her husband, Lonnie; daughters, Carrie (Brian) Bearss and Crissy (Cory) Cook; grandsons, Brett Bearss, Leo Bearss, and Quigley Cook; brother, John (Joanie) Rynties; mother-in-law, Edith Teichow; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Rynties.

Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, in the Marysville Funeral Home.
