Donna J Hamilton
Donna Jeanette Hamilton, 80, of Clyde Township, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
She was born June 2, 1945, in Port Huron to the late David Crooker and Anna M. Harper.
Donna was previously a legal secretary for St. Clair County District Courthouse and later worked for Tony Richards Construction. She was a member of Pipefitters Local 636 since 1982 and was the first woman welder in the local. She lived her life as a strong and vibrant woman, loving the outdoors, cutting firewood, planting flowers, gardening and kayaking. Donna played softball for years and was great pitcher. Biking around Port Huron was a summer treat for her, and sewing and puzzles were her favorite indoor entertainment. She was also a lifelong member of the Restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by three daughters, Tracy Hamilton, Terri Hamilton, and Toni Hamilton; grandchildren, Mitchell (Heather) McCleary, Mason Powell, Dustin Dubey, Aaliyah Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Cali McCleary, Cruz McCleary, Cloe McCleary, Cora McCleary, Cade McCleary, and Kiara Dubey; and her sister, Margaret McEachen.
If you ever met Donna, you would not forget her, as she had a way of touching your soul. She will be greatly missed by her family and remembered by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2026 in the Restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1404 Garfield St., Port Huron
