Remonia Ridner
Remonia lived a full 61 years, she was born on August 28, 1964, to the late Roosevelt and Dora Johnson. She was the seventh of eight children, and had no problem letting everyone know that she was the favorite.
Remonia graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1982. She completed courses at the Skill Center and in addition she attended college at SCCCC, where she took general courses to pursue a nursing career.
Thereafter she began her lifelong journey in work and family. Once she received her nursing certificate she worked at Marwood Manor (Nursing Rehab) Facility. From there she worked at Kroger Grocery, American Tape and Campbell Foods.
Remonia was married to Dwayne Ridner (June 26, 2004), for nearly twenty-two years. They were residing in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Remonia will be remembered for her dedication to work, love of life, her kindness (she never met a stranger), and her commitment to family. You could count on her. She was a sister, wife, aunt, mom, grandmother, cousin and friend to many. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Remonia fought a good fight; she gave her all and was ready to go home. She went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2026. She is survived by her husband of almost 22 years, Dwayne; step-children, Cheriti Ridner, Tiffeni (Stephen) Dorey and Darr Ridner; siblings, Nancy Johnson, Patricia Briggins, Narvella Jackson, Classie (Paul) Reeder, George Johnson, Beverly (Cory) Adams; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mark Johnson.
Remonia’s earlier than expected absence in our lives will be felt for some time. May she rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
Private family services were held.
Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
