Theodore Collins Jr.
Theodore Collins Jr., 79, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
He was born January 22, 1947, in Port Huron to the late Rachel E. and Theodore Collins Sr. He married Emily J. Rabidue on February 15, 1974, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Theodore was a 1965 graduate of Port Huron High School and a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He spent a 35-year career with Detroit Edison, retiring as a supervisor in 2007. Never one to let grass grow under his feet, Theodore embraced an active and adventurous life. He loved to travel, always looking forward to discovering new places and making memories with family and friends. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and football, and more recently found joy in swimming.
Theodore’s greatest legacy was not what he accomplished, but the people whose lives he touched. A devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, and loyal friend, he made everyone feel like family. His kindness, generosity, and steadfast love left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife of 52 years, Emily; two daughters, Christine Collins and Erin (Craig) Kreinest; granddaughter, Rachel Collins; and a host of other family and friends, including very special cousins, Lori Malcolm and family. In addition to his parents, Theodore was preceded in death by two sisters, RuthAnn Collins and Sybil Lee.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026 in Restoration Christian Community Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Minister Johnny Walker will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
In honor of Theodore’s lifelong service and love for his fellow veterans, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Veterans Honor Flight Network. Donations can be made in person at the service, or online at https://www.honorflight.org/donate.
Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
