Wayne G Carson

Wayne Gary Carson, 75, of Port Huron, and formerly of Holt, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 10, 2026.

He was born November 14, 1950 in Port Huron to the late Francis and Eileen (Wedge) Carson. He married Barbara Sue Blythe on August 28, 1971 and they were married for 41 years until she preceded him in death on November 28, 2012.

A 1969 graduate of Port Huron High School, Wayne worked for Grand Trunk Western Railroad, Oscar W. Larsen Company, and the Lansing Board of Water and Light prior to his retirement. Faith was important to Wayne, and he was involved in the church throughout his life. An avid outdoorsman, Wayne especially enjoyed pheasant hunting with his Springer Spaniel and German Shorthair Pointers dogs. More than anything else, however, Wayne just loved being a husband, father and grandfather. He treasured time with his family, and was always willing to lend a hand to help others.

He is survived by two daughters, Stacie (Gerald) Stein and Deborah (Stephen) McCartney; grandchildren, Zachary, Madeline and Natalie Stein, Jacob, Abigail and Tyler McCartney, and Cailyn (Spencer) Trahan; three great granddaughters, Ellie Mae, Myla and Violet; two sisters, Bonnie Peercy and Connie Gilbert; brother-in-law, Tom Freeman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Freeman.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 15, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Doug Studaker will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township.
