Janice H Johnson

Janice Harsen Johnson, a loving mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away on October 9,2026 at the age of 83.

She was born December, 3, 1942 in Port Huron, to the late Ellis and Patty Mae Cates. She married John Johnson in 1963.

Janice spent her life bringing warmth, kindness, and love to everyone who knew her. For 63 beautiful years, she was the beloved wife and anchor to her husband, John. As a mother, she was a fierce protector and a constant source of unconditional love, always standing by her children and never giving up on them. Her legacy of strength and grace will live through her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Johnny; children, Patricia Janelle Moncrief, Lorianne (Leon) Stubbs, John Robert Johnson Jr., and Darryl Von Johnson; 3 grandchildren, Janay (David) Anderson Jeanine (Kevin) Daniels and Lauren Stubbs; 4 great grandchildren, Midori Rainford, Keilynn Stubbs, Devlyn Anderson, and Lyndon Stubbs; her siblings, James (Jeanette) Cates Sr., Robert Cates, Greg (Carol) Cates, Jerilyn Cates, and Jeffrey (Latina) Cates; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jamel Stubbs, and her siblings, Claudette Rounsonville, Harold Cates, Meredith (Pinky) Cates and Judith (Diane) Cates.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, October 17, 2026 in Pollock Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Janice’s brother, Jeffrey Cates will officiate

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her family.
