Betty J Cline

Betty Jane Cline, 93 of Kimball Township, died Monday, October 12, 2026.

She was born August 22, 1933 in Brown City to the late Ernest and Gladys Hobson. She married Franklin Cline on June 18, 1954 in Marlette. He preceded her in death on January 11, 1995 after 41 years of marriage.

Betty was a 1951 graduate of Cass City High School and was a hairdresser for 44 years. A proud military spouse, she was active in several veterans’ organizations, serving as past president of both the American Legion Charles Hammond Post #8 Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Michigan Districts 8 and 40. She was also a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter #12. Betty served on the Kimball Township Cemetery Board and was a longtime member of Smith’s Creek Bible Church. She enjoyed volunteering as a clown for the American Red Cross.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Mike) Stokan and Kay Caughel; five grandchildren, Steven W. Stokan, Jeffery A. Stokan (Lindsay Tenbusch), Melissa Mosher (Jeff Frisby), Karl Caughel and Denyse (Mark) Morgan; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren with one on the way; two sisters, Patricia Janisch and Vivian Harrington; her brother, Rick (Sharon) Reamer; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 great grandchildren; her siblings, Stanley (Bea) Hobson, George Hobson, Joan Landon, Leroy Reamer, Joyce Becker, Mary James, and Marie (Bill) Harvey; and her beloved dogs, Mr. Ed and Taffy.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. An American Legion Auxiliary service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday, October 16, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. The Reverend J.D. Loy of Smiths Creek Bible Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery.
