Barbara A Pickering

Barbara Ann Pickering, 86, of Port Huron Township, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

She was born August 4, 1940 in Yale to the late Edward and Alta Vought. She married Robert Pickering on August 2, 1958 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2024 after 65 years of marriage.

Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in the garden.

Barbara is survived by four children, Terri (James) Fuchshofer, Cheri (Brian) Ake, Robert (Renee) Pickering, Jr. and Bret (Sherry) Pickering; ten grandchildren, Kelly (Jonathan) Crerar, James Fuchshofer, Joshua Ake, Andrew (Tara) Ake, Brianna (Varsal) Helms, Ashley (Doug) Sexton, Guy Pickering, Fletcher Pickering, Jacob Pickering, and Corey Sheffa; ten great grandchildren, Claire, Kora, Jayden, Carson, Dylan, Hailey, Cameron, Dessiray, Kaylah and Lyla; sister-in-law, Colleen Sloan and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Gordon Vought; and a sister, Betty Kohl.

Private family services have been held.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
