Sara A. Pelc

Sara Ann Pelc, 46, of Marysville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 16, 2026.

She was born March 28, 1980 in Port Huron to David M. and the late Kay Ann Mathews. She married Frederick S. Pelc II on June 28, 2018 in Port Huron.

Sara graduated from Port Huron High School in 1998 and then earned an Associate’s Degree from SC4. She worked in management, human resources, and most recently, insurance.

Sara loved all things sports, and especially enjoyed cheering on the Detroit Lions and Tigers, and the University of Michigan. She also appreciated sitting in her garage listening to some great loud music, and trying her luck at the casino. More than anything, she loved her family, especially her kids.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; four children, James Sargent Jr (Kaylee Greaux), Dalton Sargent (Lexi Shaul), Allison Pelc and Frederick S. Pelc III; her father, David Mathews; brother, Jason Mathews; and her beloved cat, Francis.

Private family services have been held.
