David C McCormick
David Charles McCormick, 74, of Kimball Township, died Sunday, July 8, 2012.
He was born July 3, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Bruce and Jean McCormick. He married Tome Uiea on November 10, 1963 in Japan.
Mr. McCormick served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force as a mechanic for 20 years and then taught auto mechanics at the Skill Center. He loved gardening and his black dog.
He is survived by his wife, Tome; a brother, James (Jeanne) McCormick; three sisters, Phyllis Hill, Patricia Alexander and Margaret Crowe; a daughter, Joan (Robert) Cook; grandchildren, John (Jessica) Bragg, Benjamin (Katie) Bragg and Ashley (Brian) Powell; great grandchildren, Kamron, Tryston and Braxton; many nieces and nephews, including Robert (Robin) McCormick; and special friends, Milton and Sunshine Silverton. He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be 2-4 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. His nephew, Robert McCormick, will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council. Pallbearers will be Milton Silverton, Samuel McCormick, Robert McCormick, D.J. Ward, John Bragg and Benjamin Bragg.
