Donald M Wiegand
Donald M. Wiegand, 87, of Marysville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 27, 2012. He was born June 9, 1925 in Port Huron to the late Charles and Irene Wiegand. He married Eveleen Mary Oakley on August 17, 1946 in Port Huron. She died April 9, 1998. He married Lois Meddaugh Conrad on June 24, 2000 in Port Huron. Mr. Wiegand served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Anchor Holth as a mold maker. He was a long time member of Sturges Memorial Congregational Church. He enjoyed playing the organ, hunting, fishing, gardening, woodcarving, spending time with his grandchildren and going up north to the cabin. He is survived by his wife, Lois; son, Gary (Ruth) Wiegand of Marysville; daughter, Linda (Roger) Howison of Fort Gratiot; step-son, Gerald (Donna) Conrad of St. Clair Township; two step daughters, Sheila Wixon of Port Huron and Yvette Stoyk of Highland; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Cameron of Kimball; a brother, George (Agnes) Wiegand of Lincoln Park; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Rudy. He was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 on Monday, July 30, 2012 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz, who married Donald & Lois, and the Reverend Robert Harrell of Sturges Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council. Memorials may be made to Sturges Memorial Congregational Church.
