Maynard J Kota
Maynard Joseph Kota, 77, of Marysville, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
He was born February 26, 1935 in Port Huron to the late Manuel and Margaret Kota.
Mr. Kota served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed by TRW as a supervisor prior to his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, going to the casino, and watching sports and NCIS on TV. His family, friends and neighbors will have many fond memories of going to breakfast Saturday mornings with Maynard.
He is survived by a brother, Alexander (Sandra) Kota of Marysville; a sister, M. Suzanne Brisbois of St. Clair; three nieces, Stephanie (William) Trout, Andrea (Peter) Biondo and Kathleen Kota; a nephew, Alexander C. Kota; two great nieces and a great nephew, Kaitlin Roehring, Zachary Trout and Karissa Kaufman; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his special uncle, John Kota; and his cat, Angel. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Clayton Brisbois.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery. His nieces and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
Memorials may be made to Blue Water Humane Society.
