Katherine Blimke

Katherine "Katie" Blimke, 92, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012. She was born June 6, 1920 in Port Huron to the late George and Dorothy Langolf. She married Bernard Blimke on June 29, 1946 in Port Huron. He died October 30, 2000. Mrs. Blimke was employed with Mueller Brass for 38 years prior to retirement and was a longtime member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She is survived by three brothers, John (Wanda) Langolf, Sylvester Langolf and Norman (Mary Lou) Langolf; three sisters, Noreen Hinchen, Selma (William) Redpath and Judith Avers; a sister-in-law, Esther Miller; many nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Edward Alber. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, William and Victor Langolf; and two sisters, Esther Phippen and Lorraine Johnston. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Donald Doerzbacher will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church or Marwood Manor Building Fund. The family would like to thank the staff of Marwood Manor for their compassionate care of Katie.
