Joan M Solliday
Mrs. Joan Maureen Solliday, 79, of Kimball Township, died Monday, September 17, 2012 in Blue Water Hospice Home, Marysville.
She was born September 27, 1932 in Port Huron to Calvin and Laura Recor. She married Craig A. Solliday on October 18, 1952 in Port Huron.
Mrs. Solliday was a life-long member of Ross Bible Church, singing as a soloist member of the choir. She enjoyed being a wife, mom and grandmother, painting porcelain dolls and ceramics, camping and gardening.
She is survived by her husband; four children, Catherine (John) Harrington, Ann (Gerald) Moeller, Debra (George) Emerson and Paul (Brenda) Solliday; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; her mother, Laura Recor; a brother, John "Jack" (Joann) Recor; a brother-in-law, Larry Collins; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin, and her sister, Donna Collins.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Ross Bible Church. Pastor Steve Scott will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Davey, Harley Smith, Lewis Cowan, Roger Allen, Ronald Moeller and Joseph Biga. Gary Foster will be an honorary pallbearer.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ross Bible Church, the Alzheimer's Association or Blue Water Hospice Home.
