Sarah A Stevens

Sarah Ann "Sue" Stevens, 88, of Marysville, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital.

She was born January 13, 1925 in Laingsburg, Michigan to the late John and Leila Bolton. She married F. Kenneth Stevens on March 7, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa.

Mrs. Stevens was a registered nurse and received her training with the Cadet Nursing Corps program at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing during World War II. She was employed for many years as a nurse with Owosso Memorial Hospital, Port Huron Hospital and Mueller Brass Company. She enjoyed making afghans, quilting, reading, listening to Southern gospel music and entertaining friends and family at Christmas.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth; two daughters, Wendy S. Paul of Marysville and Reverend Dee Carol Stevens of New York; a son, Eric (Lois) Stevens of Clyde; four grandchildren, Andrew (Andrea) Paul, David Paul, Sarah Stevens and Thomas Stevens; two great grandchildren, Casie and Camden; two sisters, MaryLou (Dick) Doyle and Coralie Sparkes, all of Laingsburg; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Duane Stevens in 1959; four sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Her daughter, Reverend Dee Carol Stevens, will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
