Grace Weaver

Mrs. Grace Weaver, 83, of Marysville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2013 with her family by her side.

She was born September 29, 1929 in Kinde to the late Richard and Bertha O’Connor, the 2nd oldest of 16 children. She worked for a short time at H.A. Smith Packing Plant.

She married Weston C. Weaver Sr. on August 21, 1948 in Port Huron.

Grace was a member of the Port Huron Assembly of God Church where she sponsored a Missionette program called the “Prims”. She led many very young girls to the Lord. She loved Jesus and reading her Bible. She enjoyed crafts and knitting.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years; a son, Weston (Denise) Weaver Jr. of Port Huron; three daughters, Patricia Ann Ureel of Port Huron, Brenda (Ivan) Marquardt of Kimball and Kathleen Weaver-Peart of California; 14 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren; five sisters and six brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

She will be sadly missed by all that knew her but we know she is in her heavenly mansion, as she accepted Christ as Savior in her teens. She is no longer suffering but rejoicing in the Lord.

Visitation will be Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Marysville Funeral Home, 1200 Michigan Avenue.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 in Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Robert J. Corby Sr. of Port Huron Assembly of God will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Weaver’s grandsons.
