Thomas M Foley
Thomas M. Foley, 71, of Marysville, died Sunday, May 12, 2013.
He was born April 12, 1942 in Detroit to the late Norman and Irene Foley. He married Sue Ann Hollis on February 2, 1979 in Memphis.
Mr. Foley worked in the behavioral health field for over 30 years after obtaining his Master’s Degree from Pacific Western University. He was a certified addiction counselor and clinical supervisor for addiction professionals. He operated his business that designed training, Tom Foley Associates, Inc., for over 20 years. Tom had previously served in the U.S. Coast Guard, was a volunteer with the Memphis Fire Department, and served on the Memphis City Council and Riley Township Board.
He is survived by two sons, Timothy (Jill) Foley and Jeffrey (Kandice) Foley; three step-sons, David (Beckie) Kane, Gary (Lori) Kane, and Donald Kane; grandchildren, Jake, Josh, Tessa, Miaya and Aiyden Foley, Steven (Beckie) Miller, Michelle (Nate) Shelby, and Skyler and Tonya Kane; a sister, Janet (Jim) Hurley; two brothers, Gerard (Mary) Foley and Larry (Joyce) Foley; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Ellen, Noreene and Mary Margaret Foley; and a brother, Terrance Foley.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 in Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Port Huron Chapter.
