Valorie M Hurley
Valorie Hurley, 88, of Marysville, died peacefully Tuesday, May 14, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 15, 1924 in Adair to the late Joseph and Susan Morgan. She married John W. "Jack" Hurley Sr. on March 24, 1945 in Smiths Creek. He died September 19, 2012.
Mrs. Hurley and her husband Jack, co-founded the Marysville School Bus Company. She enjoyed painting, horseback riding, reading and spending time with her family. She was a founding member of All Saints Episcopal Church, a member of the St. Clair County Community Mental Health Board and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her four children, Janice Hurley McDonald, John (Vickie) Hurley II, Judy Hurley and Joseph Hurley; seven grandchildren, Melissa (Chris) Giambelluca, Valorie (Brian) Holt, Jodie (Jason) Hansen, John (Monica) Hurley III, Janae Hurley, Sean Hurley and Ryan Hurley; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Morgan.
Visitation will be 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Tracie Loffhagen of All Saints Episcopal Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Pallbearers will be John Hurley III, Jason Hansen, Sean Hurley, Ryan Hurley, Brian Holt, and Lonn Warner.
Memorials may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church.
