Irene E Curtis
Irene Curtis, 84, of St. Clair Township, died Thursday, May 16, 2013.
She was born December 8, 1928 in Port Huron to the late Sylvester and Elizabeth Visga. She married Robert J. Curtis on July 29, 1946 in Maryville. He died December 17, 2008.
Mrs. Curtis was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to play Bingo, go to the casino, spend time in her yard gardening, feeding the hummingbirds and decorating her home for the holidays.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Ed) Dudd and Linda (David) Moran; five grandchildren, Robert (Laura) Loxton, Laurie (LeRoy) Campbell, Jodie Wisner and her fiancé, Bill, Tom (Amy) Moran and Ed (Dawn) Dudd, Jr.; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice (Eugene) Melczarczyk and Leona Rosbury; a brother, James (Amy) Visga; three sisters-in-law, Vera Curtis, Juanita Curtis and Elizabeth Visga; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Visga.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Inurnment will be in the Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus.
