Richard B Walsh
Richard Bernard Walsh, 78, of Port Huron, died Monday, May 20, 2013.
He was born November 21, 1934 in Port Huron to the late James and Rose Walsh. He married Joyce Mollan on December 27, 1980 in Port Huron. She died November 24, 2004.
Mr. Walsh was employed with Mueller Brass for over 40 years and was a member of Local 44. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed riding his bike, watching his grandchildren play sports and was always helping people and was honored by the Times Herald as a good neighbor in 1995.
He is survived by ten children, Lynn (Mark) Whitney, Lori (Brian) VanDeree, Denise (Jeff) Klontz, Tina (Craig) Balbes, Renee (John) Holland, Angie (Clem) Doyle, Chuck (Mary) Gilbert, Ann Gilbert, Theresa (Dave) Stiles and Kim (Don) Nichols; 24 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Al Walsh and Dan Walsh; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Holli Sharrow.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Wales Township. Pallbearers will be Devon Birtles, Noah Walsh, Don Nichols, Dave Stiles, Chuck Gilbert and Alan Lewandowski. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
