Duane Harry Michaels, 66, of Fort Gratiot, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013.
He was born December 29, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Harry Rex and Lila Mae Michaels. He married Patricia "Trish" Coon on September 13, 1997 in North Street.
Mr. Michaels was a shipping clerk with Acheson Colloids for 35 years. He enjoyed going to tractor shows and was a member of Heart Link and the Farm Museum.
He is survived by his wife, Trish; two stepdaughters, Kim (Joe) Stephan and Heather Coon; two grandchildren, Isabella and Paige Stephan; a sister, Carol (David) Jones; a niece, Melisa Jones; a nephew, Michael Jones; a special friend, Marcy Smith; and his beloved dog, Murphy.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 in North Street United Methodist Church. The Reverend William McBride will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Stephan II, Darwin Kelch, David Jones, Duane Gravin, Gordon Fisher and Herb Troutner. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Michaels and Elwin Simpson.
Memorials may be made to the family.
