Dorothea Schmelzer
September 14th, 1931 to July 14th, 2013
Dorothea Schmelzer, 81, of Port Huron Township, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14, 2013.
She was born September 14, 1931 in Detroit to the late Frank and Mae Schmelzer.
Miss Schmelzer was employed her entire life with AAA of Michigan. She was a long time member of Beaconsfield Baptist Church in East Pointe where she served as church secretary and was active with church missions. She was also a member at Port Huron Baptist Church. In her free time she enjoyed cross stitching.
Miss Schmelzer is survived by her sister, Bertha (Donald) Clyne; niece, Vicki (Charles) Corry; nephew, Donald Clyne; and several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by a niece, Connie Lukianoff.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Adaline of Beaconsfield Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
Memorials contributions may be made to Port Huron Baptist Church.
