Helen M Genaw
Helen Marie Genaw, 72, of Smiths Creek, was called home to be with the Lord Monday, August 5, 2013.
She was born December 8, 1940 in Port Huron to the late Ronald and Katie Myers. She married William James Genaw II on December 8, 1959 in Port Huron. He died February 1, 2008.
Mrs. Genaw was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Always willing to put others need ahead of her own, Helen was giving, honest, loyal and compassionate. She was a born again Christian woman and a long time member of the 700 Club. She loved to camp with her husband’s hunting parties, finding joy in providing home cooked meals and care. She enjoyed gardening, riding her motorcycle and working with her husband in the culinary arts at Port Huron and St. Clair Country Clubs. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by many.
She is survived by two children, William “Dino” (Anna) Genaw III and Cherrie Genaw; two grandchildren, Jamie (Robert) Genaw and William Genaw IV; and a great granddaughter, Willa Genaw; her sister, Barb (Gary) Oswald and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Masar .
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Her brother-in-law, Pastor James Gennaw will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Pallbearers will be William Genaw IV, Al Korte, Robert, Jeff and Jamie Genaw
