James M Cook

January 10th, 1942 to September 3rd, 2013

James Michael Cook, 71, of Marysville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 surrounded by his family.

He was born January 10, 1942 in Muscatine, Iowa to the late James and Ann Cook. He married Carol J. “Cas” Riddell on July 20, 2005 in Port Huron.

Mr. Cook served his Country in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force for 20 years, including the Vietnam War. He was a logistical engineer for the U.S. Government retiring from TACOM in Warren. He enjoyed fishing, boating, racing, gospel music and played semi-pro basketball as a young man. He was a very giving person and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; six children, Anthony “Tony” (Holly) Cook, Julieann (Barry) Harms, Nathaniel (Tina) Cook, Joshua (Ann) Cook, Joelle (Ryan) Cole, and Rebecca Riddell and fiancé, Osvaldo Sepulveda; fuzzy grandpa to Cyle, Tobin, Talia and Beckit; grandpa to J.J., Max, Grace, Zak, and Makenzy; papa to Dan, James and Michele; and great papa to Declan.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September7, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Robert Wesley will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.

Memorials may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
