Bobbie M Baker
Bobbie Marlene Baker, 62, of Marysville, died Sunday, November 10, 2013.
She was born November 6, 1951 in Port Huron to the late Robert and Donna Bannister. She married Terry Baker on April 18, 1998 in Smiths Creek.
Mrs. Baker was a member of the Port Huron High School Class of 1970. She graduated from the SC4 nursing program. She helped open the Evangelical Nursing Home in Fort Gratiot and worked there for 25 years. She was past Matron of Mt. Vernon Chapter #461 O.E.S. Bobbie enjoyed reading, going to the cabin up north and traveling in their motor home.
She is survived by her husband, Terry; three stepchildren, Edward Baker, Kathy (Don) Loxton and Cheryl (Allan) McDonald; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Pauline Baker; a sister, Karron (Daniel) Becktold of Bradenton, Florida; a cousin, Lisa (David Juhlin) Larchyk of Everett, Washington; and several other adopted relatives. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herbert E. and Edna Mae Bannister; and her faithful aunt, Eileen J. Larchyk.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday in the Maryville Funeral Home. An Easter Star memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald R. Doerzbacher of Our Saviour Lutheran Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot. Pallbearers will be Louis Stevich, Edward Baker, Donald Loxton, Stephen Lambert, Anthony Chamberlin and David Patterson.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
