Hugh Robert Herrick, 66, of Kimball, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 in Port Huron.
He was born May 16, 1947 in Port Huron, the son of the late Leo and Mary Herrick. He married Ruth Way.
Hugh was a welder with Grand Trunk Western Railroad prior to his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR and camping. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #158 and Marysville American Legion Post #449.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Terese (Jeff) Ellington; stepson, Dwayne (Paulita) Way; step grandchildren, Sierra, Shelby, Desiray and Kendra; his sister, Mary Gordon; a sister-in-law, Anna (Robert) Jackson; a brother-in-law, Richard (Pat) Beaudry; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Moose Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veteran’s Chapter #12.
