John Alan Hulverson, 50, of Port Huron, went to be with the Lord after losing his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 with his family by his side.
He was born April 19, 1963 in Minot, North Dakota to Joe and Marlene Hulverson.
John was employed with Better Hearing Center where he was a hearing aid specialist. He attended Colonial Woods Missionary Church. He loved vacationing, traveling, sports, gaming, cooking, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Ann, the love of his life, of 17 years; two dogs that he loved like children, Sailor and the late Sega; parents, Joe and Marlene Hulverson; a sister Arlene (Mike) Halifax and their daughter, Hannah; a brother David (Tracey) Hulverson; father-in-law, Robert McQueen; three sisters-in-law, Susan Ray, Julie (Mark) Behrendt, Colleen (Greg) Matlas; five brothers-in-law, Jim McQueen, Chuck (Janice) McQueen, Mark (Della) McQueen, Don (Kim) McQueen, Scott (Tina) McQueen; and 18 nieces and nephews, Donald, Chad, Zach, Jimmy, Samantha, Shannon, Megan, Charmaine, Adam, Chuck, Katie, Cheyenne, Mitchell, Kristin, Robert, Tyge, Lauren, and Sean. He was proceeded in death by grandparents, Alger and Eleanor Hulverson and Ralph and Hannah Leadham; and an uncle, Alan Leadham; his mother-in-law, Kay McQueen; and a brother-in-law Larry Joe Ray.
Visitation will be 1 - 5 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Colonial Woods Missionary Church with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend Phil Whetstone will officiate.
