Denisha V Miller
September 14th, 1977 to December 18th, 2013
Nisha (Nee Nee) Vondell Miller was born September 14, 1977 in Port Huron, Michigan to Althea (Tina) Miller and Johnell Thompson. She departed this life unexpectedly on December 18, 2013 in Porterville, California.
Denisha confessed her faith and was baptized at an early age. Nee Nee was born with developmental challenges but she believed the report of the Lord. Together with God and prayer, her mother and grandmother worked tirelessly to help her overcome the odds.
Denisha loved to dance and sing. She also loved to pamper herself by getting her hair and nails done. She was always flashing that beautiful smile, and often asked “How do you like my Pearly Whites?” Her favorite music artists were Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Denisha’s favorite gospel song was “Be Encouraged.” Her favorite catch phrase was “Hey, Girlfriend!”
To know Nee Nee was to love her. If you met her, you would NEVER forget her. Her family was the center of her joy. She had a phenomenal memory, and never forgot a face, or a name. She also remembered everyone’s birthdates. She was an avid prankster and always the life of the party.
Denisha graduated from Mount Pleasant Educational Center. After graduating, she was able to work as a part-time student aide at the Mount Pleasant Center. Denisha continued working as a student aide even after her transfer to the Porterville Developmental Center.
Denisha leaves to celebrate her life: her mother, Althea (Tina) Miller of Sterling Heights, Michigan; her father, Johnell (Cynthia) Thompson of Port Huron, Michigan; two brothers, Ray (Angela) Brown of Sterling Heights, Michigan and Johnell Thompson, Jr. of Port Huron, Michigan; one sister, Demeka Melton of Port Huron, Michigan; a grandmother (Na Na), Betty Moore of Sacramento, California; two best friends (cousins), Latina Taylor of Sacramento, California and Tamara McNair-Hicks of Kimball, Michigan; a special great-aunt Debra McNair of Kimball, Michigan; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, December 27, 2013 in Restoration Christian Community Church with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. The Rev. Carl Miller will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Denisha was loved by many, and will be missed by all!
