Frederick L Wehrwein

Frederick L. Wehrwein Sr., 67 of Port Huron was called home to be with his loving parents and grandson on Friday, December 20, 2013 after a 14 year battle with Lung Cancer and COPD.

Fred retired from Chrysler Corporation after 31 years of service. He was a member of Charles Hammond American Legion Post # 8, Moose Lodge #158 and was a devoted customer of Powers Hamburgers and Windchill Donuts. He loved his cats, playing on the computer, driving through town and watching NASCAR. He was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his family very much.

He is survived by his children, Fred (Jeanette) Wehrwein, Melvin (Benee) Wehrwein and Stephanie Wehrwein (Bill Bezenah); his grandchildren, Edward and Charles Hawkins, Rebecca Hernandez, Kayla, Andrew and Melanie Wehrwein; two brothers, John Wehrwein and Luke (Alma) Wehrwein; an aunt; several cousins and nieces; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, John and Helen Wehrwein; grandson, Austin; brother, Norman and cat, Cuddles.

A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Peter Foxwell will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the COPD Foundation.

The family would like to thank Dr. Hanna, Dr. Artinian and the wonderful people at Blue Water Hospice for the compassionate care given to our dad.
