Nancy L McKelvey

Husband and wife, Clyde Richard McKelvey III, 80, and Nancy Lynn McKelvey, 68, formerly of Fort Gratiot, passed away last week due to a tragic car accident in Otsego County, MI.

Clyde was born July 27, 1933 to Clyde R. II and Maxine Smith McKelvey in Altoona, PA. He passed away Monday, January 6, 2014.

Nancy was born March 16, 1945 to Jack "John" and Dorothy Talbot Allen in Port Huron, MI. She passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014.

Clyde and Nancy were married December 31, 1973 and lived in Fort Gratiot until moving to Atlanta, MI one year ago.

They are survived by Clyde’s children, Debbie (Russ) Black, Robert (LeeAnne) McKelvey, Belinda (Greg) McGregor, Kathleen (Larry) Tenbusch, Sharon (Darryl) LaForest and Grant (Julie) McKelvey; their son, Jake McKelvey; and Nancy’s children, Dorene (Tom) Holmes, Tom Richards and Hope Yengich. They are also survived by Nancy’s brothers, John (Judith) Allen, Robert Jr. (Diane) Leslie and Frederick (Renee) Leslie; 21 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

They were preceded in death by their parents; and Clyde’s sisters, Patricia Jenkins and Patty Barton.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2014 in North Lakeport Wesleyan Church, 3871 Harris Road, Lakeport with visiting from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
