Ronald H Liddle

Ronald Harold “Chicken” Liddle, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in the loving care of his family.
Ron was born March 22, 1937, in Port Huron to Gertrude and Harold Leese. He considered his step-father, William “Art” Liddle to be his “true” father. He loved him so dearly.
Ron worked for United Trucking Service, Port Huron and Detroit Railroad, JP Stevens, and Collins & Aikman. Ron also owned and operated Liddle’s Dairy Isle in Marysville and Saint Clair. Ron found his work very fulfilling. His volunteer work performed at The Crisis Center of Port Huron was personally the most rewarding.
Ron is survived by his five children, Michelle (Ken) Diem, Lori Gellasch, Lisa (Tim) Reifert, John (Jennifer) Mongeon and Jeaninne (David) Wierzbicki; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (Donald) Hoover and Patricia Woods, Peoria, AZ. Ron is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and many, many friends.
Ron was predeceased by his wife, Jane on June 12, 2013; his mother, Gertrude Caryl; and his father, Art Liddle.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.
For those planning on honoring Ron with a memorial, the family requests that you consider St. Clair County Council on Aging or Seasons Hospice who provided excellent comfort and care in his final days.
