Harold E Cook
Harold Edward Cook, 76, of Clyde Township, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
He was born June 27, 1937 in Detroit to the late William and Bernadine Cook. He married Irene Wojciechowski on May 12, 1962 in Warren.
Mr. Cook was employed with Detroit Edison for 30 years, retiring as a supervisor. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and enjoyed going to the casino, working around the house, traveling to Florida and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Irene; six children, Joseph (Mary) Cook, John (Beth) Cook, James (Margaret) Cook, Jacquelyn (Tim) Ziolkowski, Gary (Angie) Cook and Michael Cook; 13 grandchildren, John Jr., Ashley, Caitlin, Sarah, Danny, T.J., Nick, Amanda, Lexi, Megan, Abby, Luke and Adison; two great grandchildren, Jayme and Bentley; sisters and brothers, Julie, Phyllis, Winnie, Margaret (Paul) Caruso and Ken (Karen) Lord; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Agnes Cook; and sisters, Regina and Barbara.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Scripture Service will be held at 7 p.m.
Mr. Cook will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Rev Brian Cokonougher will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph, John, James, Gary and Michael Cook and Tim Ziolkowski.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Stephen Catholic Church.
