Alice M Comfort
Alice Marie Comfort, 74, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014.
She was born June 16, 1939 in Tower, Michigan to the late William and Alma Whitman.
Alice was a machine operator at Bundy Tubing until she retired in 1996 and was also a greeter at the Council on Aging. She enjoyed traveling with her husband “Allie”, taking numerous short trips all over the United States. She especially loved the trips they took by bus. Alice also enjoyed the company of the numerous dogs she had over her lifetime. She relaxed by crocheting or doing embroidery and her favorite pastime was going to the Bingo halls.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Comfort of Port Huron; son, Donald W. (Cindy) Samson of Port Huron; daughter, Annette Samson of Traverse City; three step-sons, Kevin Comfort; Harlan (Yvonne) Comfort, and Kirk Comfort; grandchildren, Andrew Samson, Anthony (Cindy) Arnold, Mark (Sue) Mitchell, Chad Ernest, Jake Comfort, and Katie Hill; great grandchildren, Makenna, Hunter, and Presley; a sister, Donna (Jack) Sachs of Tower; a half-brother, Charles Bowen of Tower; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Richards; and a brother, Harry Whitman.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Sparlingville Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. The Reverend John Milton will officiate.
Inurnment will be in the Woodland Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Council on Aging. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
