Erika Martin

Erika I. Martin, 84, of Fort Gratiot, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

She was born November 26, 1929 in Berlin, Germany. She married Paul Martin on October 9, 1948 in Dundee. He died April 26, 2013.

Mrs. Martin was a unit secretary at Port Huron Hospital prior to her retirement. She was an active member of Lakeshore Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and spending time by the lake.

She is survived by three children, Donna Martin, Terry Schinkai and James (Linda) Martin; three grandchildren, Gregory (Jennifer) Short, Rebecca LaRose and Blake Short; four great grandchildren, Cody, Chance, Breanna and Seneca; a sister-in-law, Leah Storto; and a nephew, Robert Haugh.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Lakeshore Presbyterian Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Kelly Pittman will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeport Cemetery, Lakeport.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
