Joyce Clara Brunk, 91, of Port Huron, formerly of Romeo, died Saturday, March 15, 2014.

She was born June 6, 1922 in Rochester to the late Bryan and Helen Linnevers. She married Floyd George Brunk on October 12, 1940 in Hazel Park. He died July 6, 2000.

While residing in Romeo, Joyce was very active in senior citizen activities, serving as President, Vice President and Chair of the Board for the Romeo Area Senior Citizens Club and also was trip coordinator for the Older Adult Center. She enjoyed trips to England, Spain, Hawaii and many other destinations in Michigan and throughout the United States. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, reading, music and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by two children, Floyd (Donna) Brunk Jr. of Yale and Wendy (Larry) Krabach of Port Huron; daughter-in-law, Sharon Brunk of Imlay City; seven grandchildren, Todd (Amy) Brunk of Attica, Heidi (Andrew) Bull of Imlay City, Eric (Toni) Brunk of Keego Harbor, Brian (Danielle) Brunk of Yale, Andrew (Alesha) Brunk of Lake Orion, Amanda Brunk of Grand Rapids and Sean (Amy) Krabach of Northville; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Leola Evans of Dryden and Roberta (Harold) Grass of Prudenville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary; and sisters, Beuda Power and Diane Daugherty.

Cremation has taken place. Services for the family will take place this summer.

Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurses Association, Blue Water Hospice or Marwood Manor.
