Dolores Ellavich

Dolores Ellavich, 85, of Port Huron died Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

She was born June 26, 1928 in Detroit to the late Carl and Gertrude Oshman.

Ms. Ellavich was a “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II for Brinks Manufacturing. Following the war she worked at a department store in Detroit, ran a daycare, and also worked as a visiting nurse. She was a huge Detroit Tigers Fan.

She is survived by her sons, David Felchak, Donald Beals and Dennis Beals; daughter, Linda (Ronald) Hoffman; grandchildren, Michelle Beals Jackson, Dennis Beals Jr., Bylinda Beals French, and George Beals; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marge Nichter; and brother, Bob Oshman.

Visitation will be from 1-4 pm Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with funeral services following at 4 pm. Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Cremation will follow the services with burial in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
