Eldon R Hoag

March 25th, 1930 to April 1st, 2014

Eldon Ray Hoag, 84, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 1, 2014.

He was born March 25, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Albert and Gladys Hoag. He married Viola Wegg on October 8, 1960 in Port Huron.

Mr. Hoag was a machine operator with Mueller Brass Company, retiring in 1987. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Marysville, was a Sunday school teacher, church bus driver and taught junior church. He enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Viola; four daughters, Martha (Doug) Glombowski, Mary (David) Ellis, Beth (Rodney) Lawrence and Rachel (Wesley) Schieman; 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Krampien and Marion LaVere; a brother, David (Kay) Hoag; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Foglesong.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 in First Baptist Church of Marysville with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Dallas Berry will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Pallbearers will be Eric, Steve and Scott Foglesong, Michael and Tony Ellis, Alex Schieman and John Glombowski.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Marysville.
