Guy F Bailey

Guy Franklin Bailey Jr., 82 of Port Huron, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, April 19, 2014.

He was born March 20, 1932 in Valentine, Nebraska to the late Guy and Leta Bailey. He married Joyce E. Goff on July 23, 1954 in White River, South Dakota.

Mr. Bailey was a teacher with the Port Huron Area School District for 25 years and then owned and operated Bailey’s One Hour Photo in Downtown Port Huron for 21 years. He was the author of three books on Mt. Rushmore.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Joyce; two sons, Benjamin C. and Bruce L. Bailey; five grandchildren, Christina Platt, Matthew, Gregory, Dr. Bradley and Brittney Bailey; four great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Wayne Goff and fiancé Janell Youel; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at their home at 2851 Riverwood Ct., Port Huron from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.
