Charles F Priehs
Charles F. “Charlie” Priehs, 76, of Kimball, formerly of Marysville, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, after a struggle with dementia.
He was born December 11, 1937 in St. Clair to the late Theodore and Viola Priehs. He married Melanie Fraley on March 3, 1962.
Charles graduated from St. Clair High School in 1956.
Over the years he was employed by Detroit Broach, American Tape, and after retirement, kept busy by being a groundskeeper at Fore Lakes Golf Course.
For years he served as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Marysville Fire Department. He loved hunting, cruising on his motorcycle, and supporting Marysville Football. He was fondly referred to as “the nicest guy you ever did meet.”
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Melanie; two sons, Eric and Brad (Stacy) Priehs; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Madison Priehs; and a multitude of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Hoornstra.
Private services have been held.
Burial was in Riverlawn Cemetery.
