Virginia Ruth Jehl, 92, of Port Huron, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 after a brief illness.
She was born November 27, 1921 in Detroit to the late Anson and Lela Parker. She married Joseph S. Jehl Sr. on August 16, 1947 in Port Huron. He passed away on October 22, 1992.
Mrs. Jehl was a secretary with the Port Huron Area School District. She was an avid reader and seamstress who enjoyed antique shopping, playing cards & bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Joseph S. (Gail) Jehl Jr. and Christine (Mark) McKeehan; six grandchildren, Eric (Sarah) Jehl, Sara (Brad) Silverman, Stacie (Terry) Schulz, Steven (Elizabeth) Jehl, Molly McKeehan and Grace McKeehan; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn; and a brother, Maurice.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
