Thomas G Nowiski
Thomas George Nowiski, 59, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 18, 2014.
He was born January 21, 1955 in Port Huron to Ruth and the late Ore Nowiski. He married Angela M. Hall on September 24, 1994 in Port Huron.
Tom worked as a Supervising Operator for Detroit Edison for 35 years. Before his time at Edison, he graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1973, attended St. Clair County Community College, and worked for the Port Huron Area School District in maintenance. He was a 20-year member of Blue Water Aerie #3702 Fraternal Order of Eagles. Tom enjoyed spending time and working outdoors, especially tinkering with and restoring vehicles. More than anything, he loved being with family and playing with his grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his wife, Angela; four children, Anna (Al) Beneker of Jeddo, Melissa (Stephen) Sluck of Wales, Misty (Donald) Barr of Burtchville, and Leonard (Christina) Marsh of St. Clair; grandchildren, Alexia and Skylee Barr, Brad and Ruthann Beneker, Stephen Jr. and Jacob Sluck, Cami and Leonard Marsh Jr., Avah Myers, Hailey Hale, and two more on the way; his mother, Ruth Nowiski; a sister, Mary (Dwaine) Thayer; two brothers, Gerald Nowiski and John (Kathy) Nowiski; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Sandra Plichta will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Marsh, DJ Barr, Al Beneker, Stephen Sluck and Brad Rusch.
