Stanley John Cesefske, Jr.
Stanley John Cesefske, Jr., 87, of Inverness, FL., formerly of Port Huron, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, under the care of his loving family and Hospice of Citrus County.
He was born May 17, 1927 in Port Huron, to the late Stanley and Mary Cesefske. He married Virginia Thompson on April 14, 1978. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2014.
Stanley was a lineman for Detroit Edison Power Company for over 40 years. He was a licensed pilot who enjoyed flying and spending time at the airport watching the air traffic. He served in the U.S. Army. In his later years, he enjoyed gardening and working in his yard.
He is survived by his stepchildren, John W. (Sandra) Thompson, Nancy (James) Howe and Janice Smith, all of Florida; three siblings, Theodore Cesefske, Joseph Cesefske and Mary Lou Rowbothom, all of Port Huron; ten grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Richard Smith; four brothers and two sisters.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Stanley and Virginia at 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service in the church.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by St. Clair County Allied Veterans and U.S. Army.
