Danny J Mason

Danny James Mason, 62, of Kenockee Township, was called home by his Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2014 after a long illness. He was born January 3, 1952 in Port Huron to Lawrence and the late Verlyn Mason. He married Donna Williams on February 28, 1970 in Port Huron. Mr. Mason was a butcher with C. Roy Meats prior to his retirement. He co-owned and operated D.J.M. Quarter Horses with his wife, Donna. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and enjoyed both riding and training horses. He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Danny (April) Mason Jr., Chad (Stacey) Mason; five grandchildren, Dylan and Dakota Mason, Brittany Harris, Sabrina and Kyle Mason; great grandson, Aiden Robert; his father, Lawrence Mason; two brothers, David (Leslie) Mason and Robert (Renee) Mason; mother-in-law, Mary Williams; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mary (Jim) Nedela, Carl (Ginny) Williams and William (Vicki) Williams; several nieces and nephews; his beloved Jack Russell terriers, Nikki and Princess; and his extended family at C. Roy Meats. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Mason. Cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later date at the family farm. Memorials may be made to the American Quarter Horse Association. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
