Howard E. Hall, 100, formerly of Port Huron, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at his home in Farmington, MI.

He was born June 11, 1914 in Denver, Colorado to the late Clifford and Gertrude Hall. Howard lived most of his youth in Logansport, IN. On September 6, 1936 he married Frances Steffey who went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2001.

In 1945, Howard opened Hall’s Meat Market in Sparlingville, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1981. He enjoyed gardening and traveling with his wife Frances. Howard was a man of God who loved his Lord and the people at Ross Bible Church. He was a Sunday school teacher at Ross Bible for many years.

He is survived by two sons, Charles (Saundra) Hall of Farmington Hills, MI and David (Charlayne) Hall of Albany, GA; three daughters, Judy Andrews of Murraysville, PA, Kathleen (Daniel) Lewis of St. Petersburg, FL and Lois (Timothy) Witte of Winona Lake, IN; sons-in-law, David (Becky) Frye of Oscoda, MI, and Donald (Marsha) McPherson of Vonore, TN; 16 grandchildren (with spouses); 22 great grandchildren; his sister, Rhea Renkenberger; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Frances; two daughters, Sandra Frye and Linda McPherson; two sons-in-law, David Andrews and David Haney; one granddaughter, Heather Hall; and a brother, Denton Hall.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, 912 Lapeer Ave, Port Huron.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 in Ross Bible Church, 2865 Maywood Dr., Port Huron, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Ruby Cemetery.
