John G Stuckert
John Gerald Stuckert, 84, of Avoca, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014.
He was born August 10, 1929 in Port Huron to the late Jacob and Elsie Stuckert. He married Beverly L. Knudson on October 27, 1951 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Greenwood Township.
Mr. Stuckert was a 1948 graduate of Yale High School. He was a repairman with Mueller Brass Company for 31 years, retiring in 1986. He was a ham radio operator and in 1960 received his Amateur Radio License K8UPE. He was a member of Emmanuel Redeemer Lutheran Church, Yale.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beverly; children, Susan (Charles) Wahl of Kimball, Debra (James) Alexander of Ruby, Dawn Kestner of Port Huron and Tom Deneweth; Jackie (Robert) Teetzel and John (Mellisa) Stuckert, all of Avoca; grandsons, Chris (Gina) Kestner, Chance (Shawn) Debuf, Justin Kestner, Joshua (Mindi) Sobol, Jason (April) Sobol, Jacob, Gerald and Nathan Stuckert; granddaughters, Jennifer (Carmon) Graziadei, Kathryn (Kevin) Gorski, Marisa (Daniel) Hutchinson and Rita Stuckert; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a sister, Jean Inch of Kimball. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Wiley.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014 in Emmanuel Redeemer Lutheran Church in Yale with visitation beginning at 5 p.m. Pastor Joel Neumann will officiate.
