Max Edison Kerr, 81, of North Street, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014.

He was born December 8, 1932 in Melvin to the late Edison and Thelma Kerr. He married Margaret A. Ohmer on April 12, 1952 in Yale.

Mr. Kerr was a carpenter for 40 years, retiring in 1994. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of North Street United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret; three daughters, Sue (Michael) Reilly and Lynda (Richard) Howard, all of Marysville, and Terri Purcell of North Street; grandchildren, Brian (Sara Hildebrant) Howard, Joshua Purcell, Heather (Anthony) Hill, Katie (Philip) Hewitson, Sean Howard and Nathan (Jenelle Keinath) Reilly; great grandchildren, Lily, Max, Mariah & Anthony Hill and Amber & Sebastian Hewitson; a brother, Donald Kerr of Ohio; a brother-in-law, Henry Ohmer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard (Sharon) Kerr; and a sister, Patricia (George) Fletcher.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend William McBride will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
