Marie M Clor

Marie M. Clor, 92, of Port Huron, died peacefully at home Sunday, July 27, 2014 with loving family at her side. She was born September 10, 1921 in Minden City, Michigan, to the late Edward and Anna (McLeod) Heilig. Marie married Samuel R. Clor on February 17, 1942 and they moved to Port Huron in 1945 where she has lived since. Samuel died 26 years ago on June 18, 1988. Marie was a member of Holy Trinity Parish - St Joseph’s Church in Port Huron. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and a very giving person. Hardly anyone left her house without receiving a little something or sweet treat to take along. Marie is survived by her loving family, daughters, Judy Fraelich of Port Huron and June (Ken) Pond of Marysville; son, Samuel E. Clor of Port Huron; four grandchildren, Toni (Joseph) Jakubiak of Kimball, Benjamin Fraelich of Tifton, Georgia, Tina (Jim) Dunn of Kimball and Jill (Jeff) Morrison of Port Huron Twp; seven great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nathan Jakubiak, Austin, Andrea, Averie and Alivia Dunn and Reese Morrison; brother, Gerald (Kathy) Heilig of Whitmore Lake; dear sisters-in-law, Jo Heilig of Port Huron and Julia Heilig of Owosso; and several nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Anthony “Tony” Heilig, Eddie Heilig and Eugene Heilig; sister and brother-in-law Agnes and Thomas Clor; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence “Doc” and Dorothy Heilig; and son-in-law, Richard Fraelich. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Marie Clor will lie in state in St. Joseph’s Church, Port Huron from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014. The Rite of Committal will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ruth, Michigan. Pallbearers will be Ken Pond, Jeff Morrison, Joseph Jakubiak, Nathan Jakubiak, Jim Dunn and Austin Dunn. A special thank you goes to the staff of Visiting Nurses Association and Blue Water Hospice for providing care and guidance over the past few months; enabling Marie to remain in the comfort of her own home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice or Holy Trinity Parish CSA 2014.
